Ian Roberts, newly appointed BFA board member
The BFA has announced the appointment of Ian Roberts to the Board of the British Footwear Association (BFA), where he will take on the Finance portfolio.
Currently serving as Chief of Staff and CFO at JD Group North America, Ian brings more than 30 years of senior finance and leadership experience, with the majority of his career spent within the footwear industry.
His experience spans retail, wholesale, franchising and manufacturing, giving him a broad understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing the footwear industry.
Prior to joining JD Group, Ian held several senior finance and leadership roles at Screwfix and Clarks.
On his appointment Ian said: “I am excited to join the BFA. With over 30 years of experience, predominantly in the footwear industry, working across retail, wholesale, franchise and manufacturing, I have a practical understanding of the challenges faced by businesses at every stage of the supply chain, from the factory floor to the shop floor.
I welcome the opportunity to share that insight with our existing and new members. I look forward to serving the industry and its members, and to helping the BFA continue and grow and support them.”
