Première Vision Paris is the bi-annual fashion exhibition, and for over 50 years the show has been bringing together fashion professionals and accelerating their business.
At the close of its last edition last month, organisers shared key insights from discussions with brands, manufacturers, designers, and institutions, along with the main signals observed over three days of business and networking.
Against a backdrop of economic and geopolitical uncertainty, this latest edition highlighted the industry’s ability to come together, exchange ideas, and develop collective responses. The high level of engagement and quality of discussions reflected a sector that, despite ongoing pressures, continues to adapt, make strategic decisions, and invest carefully.
Bringing together decision-makers from across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, the event reaffirmed both its international reach and Paris’s central role in the global fashion dialogue.
A market under pressure
Conversations throughout the show confirmed a structural shift: cost pressures are affecting the entire value chain. With reduced volumes, delayed commitments, and tougher commercial expectations, companies are prioritising risk management and financial stability.
Price, however, is no longer the sole deciding factor. Reliability, delivery capability, financial strength, and long-term partnerships are now equally critical.
Balancing optimisation and security
Retail-focused brands continue to optimise costs and explore new sourcing regions, while remaining cautious in their commitments. Meanwhile, premium and luxury players are focusing on strengthening existing partnerships, securing supply chains, and investing in innovation to support growth.
Across all segments, responsible innovation is now essential – expected to deliver practical, scalable, and immediately usable solutions.
A key platform for the industry
In this demanding context, Première Vision Paris continues to play a central role, providing a space to identify trends, build partnerships, and navigate global shifts. The event supports companies in making informed decisions and securing their development strategies.
Responding to a decline in technical expertise across the market, Première Vision is also reinforcing its educational mission. The last edition welcomed a large number of students, underlining its commitment to passing on textile knowledge and preserving essential craftsmanship.
The show also saw the launch of the Réseau d’Excellence Mode & Beauté des Entreprises du Patrimoine Vivant, part of the Fashion & Luxury Strategic Committee’s initiatives. The project highlights the growing importance of craftsmanship, industrial strength, and collaboration in a high-pressure environment.
It also reflects the expanding role of the Fashion Division – not only bringing together industry players, but actively addressing the challenges shaping the sector’s future.
Première Vision Paris returns on 1-3 September 2026 at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center.
