The consumer demand for Barefoot shoes remains high – a trend which the specialist retail trade also clearly reflects. And in response to this, Superfit is expanding its 2026 Autumn/Winter Barefoot collection – cleverly named ‘Barefit’.
Austrian shoe manufacturer, Legero United, is supporting the Barefoot shoe portfolio of its Superfit children’s brand and increasing its expertise in this rapidly growing segment.
With now six groups for outdoor and indoor use, Superfit covers a wide spectrum with its Barefoot shoe range. One new addition is the unisex Winter group WALDERI, which combines functional features with a natural wear comfort when walking. Together with a waterproof membrane and thermal PU soles with a non-slip tread, a warm lining makes WALDERI a Barefoot shoe for snow and cold days – and therefore a highlight in the market environment.
The successful first walker design SUPERFREE 2.0 has also been developed further: it now impresses with even more flexible thin soles for maximum ground contact, a non-slip tread and also an asymmetrical last shape that provides plenty of room to move. The indoor area Barefoot offer is completed by the group VENTI.
“Thanks to the materials we use and innovative constructions, our Barefit Barefoot shoe designs are particularly flexible,” explained Vessela Carrillo, Head of the Superfit Business Unit.
“They stand for maximum contact with the ground, zero heel-to-toe drop and plenty of room to accommodate sudden growth spurts and growth in general. With WALDERI, we are proving that a real Barefoot feel can also work in Winter, and SUPERFREE 2.0 is a consistent further development of one of our most successful designs. In the course of this, it is important to us to combine functional features with child-appropriate, stylish designs.”
Superfit’s expanded Autumn/Winter Barefoot shoe collection offers specialist shoe retailers a range with a clearly defined profile in a dynamic growth segment – from the first steps to Wintertime outdoor adventures for older kids.
